Kaffebox Cafelat Parker Legris Replacement Tube
175 NOK
Overview This is the small flexible tube that runs between the piston fitting and the pressure gauge on the Cafelat Robot Barista. The Robot Barista uses a simple push-fit Parker Legris system: the tube clips into a straight fitting on the piston at one end, and an elbow fitting on the gauge at the other. If that tube gets cut, pinched, or pulled out of shape, the gauge stops giving accurate pressure readings. This part replaces it. When you actually need this The pressure gauge system on the Robot is reliable and the tube usually just needs to be flicked back into the correct orientation if it has shifted. You only need a new tube if the original has been physically damaged, for example accidentally cut while working around the machine, or kinked badly enough that it no longer holds shape. If the gauge is reading oddly but the tube looks intact, check the tube position before ordering a replacement. Fitting it The Parker Legris fittings are push-fit. To remove the old tube, press down on the locking collar on the fitting and pull the tube straight out. Push the new tube in until it seats. No tools are needed for the tube itself. Note that this listing is the tube only, if your metal protective sleeve or the self-adhesive hook that routes the tube along the frame is also damaged, those are sold separately. Specifications 58mm filter baskets the same size as professional semi-automatic machines. Our baskets are extremely high quality, they are made by the same factory that makes all the best baskets in the world. Stainless Steel Tamper 1 piece stainless steel tamper designed and machined to precisely fit snugly in the basket and has tapered side walls to prevent ground being sucked back when you lift the tamper. Pressure gauge Our Patent Pending system takes the pressure reading from inside the basket. Add to that the manual pressing of the lever arms, it enables you to manipulate pre-infusion, flow and pressure in real-time to get the best from your coffee. Extraction pressure Ignore the magic 9 bar, that figure originally referred to the pump output pressure of a Faema E61 machine, when in actual fact the pressure at the group will be lower, maybe even 1-2 bar lower. Traditional lever machines (as measured by us) typically extract at 6-7 bars, and since the basket and piston on the Robot are the same size, we suggest you initially aim for 6-7 bars as well and adjust as preferred. Temperature management The Robot is clearly not going to give you a La Marzocco type flat temperature profile. But water off the boil poured into a gently pre-heated basket will yield approx 95 deg c water, and will give you up to 88 deg c coffee output from the basket. Extraction ratios Certainly a 2:1 ratio of beverage mass to ground coffee is possible i.e. a 16g coffee dose can easily yield a 32g beverage weight. You can increase the beverage weight up to 40-45g if needed. Bottomless is best For best results we recommend using the portafilter without the spouts - but when using the pressurised basket it is best to use with the spouts attached. It's a lever machine Lever machines can be very forgiving thanks to their gentle pre-infusion and the soft ramp up to full pressure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11ZSXVZbQbA
Kaffebox Cafelat Parker Legris Fittings Replacement Parts

Overview These are the two stainless steel Parker Legris push-fit fittings that hold the flexible tube in place on the Cafelat Robot Barista's pressure gauge system. The straight fitting threads into the piston, the elbow fitting threads into the back of the gauge, and the FEP tube clips into both via the push-in collars. Pick the variant you need from the dropdown. Both versions are sold individually. Which one do I need? If your gauge has come loose or the tube won't seat properly at the gauge end, you need the elbow fitting. If the problem is at the piston end, where the tube meets the lever assembly, you need the straight fitting. If both fittings have failed (uncommon, but it can happen if the system was forced apart), order one of each. The full set is also included in the Pressure Gauge Kit if you're rebuilding the whole gauge system. Fitting and removing the tube Both fittings use the standard Parker Legris push-to-connect mechanism. To insert the tube, push it firmly into the collar until it seats. To remove it, press down on the locking collar and simultaneously pull the tube straight out. Forcing the tube out without depressing the collar will damage the internal grip ring and leak after reassembly.
